Wow! It is hard to believe that this pregnancy is now at least 1/2 of the way over! Time has flown by and I am so thankful to have had such a smooth ride so far. With the exception of the backaches and being overly emotional, I have had virtually no pregnancy syptoms whatsoever. Thank you, God!
The baby has been kicking so much and so hard lately. I feel him/her all day long, and I am starting to feel the kicks very easily from the outside. I know that this will be the week that Kevin will REALLY feel his baby kicking, and be able to be confident that he really did! I love that feeling. I can be in the middle of a stressful day, annoyed by certain students or overwhelmed by the work I have to get done, and when I feel that movement I just get so happy instantly. The kids ask me every day whether it is a boy or a girl - I tell them that I wish I knew!
The good news is that we are now LESS THAN 48 HOURS AWAY from knowing! I thought Wednesday would never get here! This is the last blog entry that I will have to write and call the baby a him/her, LOL.
Kevin was out of town this last weekend on a boy's hunting trip, so my mom and Lindsay came in to spend time with me. We went shopping, and I got some adorable dresses on sale at Motherhood Maternity (one of which is in the pictures below). That place was like Heaven in a store. Also, my dad's mom ("Mom" to the grandkids and "Great Big Mom" to the great grandkids) sent money to buy us our baby mattress! I picked out a Simmons at Babies R Us and got it for 20% off. It was a little expensive, but it was a gift and I know that I would have spent the money on it either way, because a good mattress is so important. We also had a nice dinner out and just really enjoyed each others' company.
Here are the 20 week pictures:
And our mattress - Thanks Great Big Mom!!!
Check back on Wednesday to find out if we'll be living pink or blue!!!
