Today Jaxon and I had our fourth (and last) baby shower. It was at my school and my third grade teammates were the hostesses. I thought it was so creative! First of all, there are a lot of "crafty" people at my school so there were some really amazing hand-made cards and an adorable little scrapbook make out of the letters of his name. He also got a couple of cute aggie outfits, and even an roll-up aggie car window shade from my principal!
The theme of the shower was a gift card tree, so each group of people bought gift cards to Target, Babies R Us, or other places and then hung them on this adorable tree. There was also punch and a delicious cake made by one of our own teachers.
I thought the gift card tree was a fantastic idea because:
1. It was easy for people during a busy time of the year.
2. It was easy for me to carry my gifts out to my car.
3. I can use them along with my registry close-out discounts to get the remaining items that I need!
I may use this idea for showers I throw in the future, so if I end up throwing you a gift-card tree shower, just pretend you never read this. Ok? Good.
Kevin and I have been so blessed with the outpouring of love from family and friends at our different showers for Jaxon. We are so appreciative of everything. Thank you!
