Playing with Photoshop

I have always wanted to know how to make a photo black and white and then make part of it color, to make it "pop." Ithink it looks so cool. So anyway, today I decided to play around on photoshop and figure it out. Success! Here are some of my creations. Some are good and some are ...eh. Remember, I'm just an amateur!
